FREEDOOM-FESTIVAL Ghent on 16 July 2016
Gospel music and the street children in Uganda project went hand-in-hand during the annual Freedom Festival on July 16th, which took place at Sint-Pietersstation in Ghent. The event this year was the benefit of the charity project of Koinonia.
"Freedom" was the central theme on the stage and 20 year old Ella was the first speaker of the day and spoke of what freedom meant for her. A strong message was given by all the speakers, young and old, and there were many gospel performances, bands, dance and drama.
Employees were selling food and drinks in stalls while others took part in the children's programme or conversations with the visitors who enjoyed the sunshine on the benches around. People were very open for conversation and encouraging words.
Teams from different churches and nationalities were present in the square throughout the day. They complemented each other in all aspects and painted a beautiful picture of the church.
The event is an initiative of Koinonia Ministries in collaboration with Gospel Palace, Church of Pentecost and Evangelical churches in Ghent.
A special thanks to everyone who contributed through the planning, mobilizing, giving and praying for months in advance; without you, it would not have been possible!
